Can Apple create a better net animation app to rival Flash?

Flash on the iPhone and now on the iPad has been the subject of millions of discussions and it’s promised to be on until the iPad hits the streets, but why does Apple create a better, processor-friendly net programming application that rival flash?

I have been expecting myself that Apple adds some kind of programming into the Keynote application that lets you create interaction, but if Apple launch a lightweight rival to flash that mixes Applescript and the Quicktime that deliver a better end-user experience.

Apple has the knowledge and it can position this new light-programming net application in the market to replace flash making it the default video+interaction application for the iPhone and the iPad. Something like HyperCard on steroids, with better integration to HTML, Javascript and Quicktime.

Can Apple do that? Of course, this is a piece of cake and Flash can even take advantage of this new lightweight format using a plugin to export your Flash movies to the new format.

There are a lot of reasons for Apple to do this bridge-type application, one, a new mobile advertising division that will require ads with heavy animations to satisfy its customers, so when We heard that Apple will create a new mobile advertising experience from the ground up, it means that to achieve it, Apple will have to validate or exterminate Flash from the equation, but to do so it will have to provide an in-house Flash-like or better.

I don’t much care for using Flash on my Mac, but I honestly don’t want Apple to try to create “another” type of plug-in or something. I’d rather the web move on to HTML5. I don’t care whether Flash goes or stays. I really would like it if sites offered an alternative to Flash for Apple mobile users. I guess that means double coding, but Apple mobile users are going to have a lot of influence on the web due to being the segment that has and is willing to spend money. I’m sure advertisers want to reach Apple mobile users so I think they should force sites to offer an alternative. Flash is a resource hog on Windows but even more so on OSX. The latest Flash plug-in works much better, but I mainly use ClickToFlash and don’t have to see Flash banners at all.

There’s talk about this new Adobe Air, but I don’t know if that’s a solution or not. Steve Jobs may not want any Adobe stuff running on his devices and if that’s the case, then it’s a no go. When I buy an iPad, I really would like to view all of the internet if I want to, but it won’t be a deal-breaker if I can’t. I honestly do hope some reasonable compromise or full solution is reached. I’d like there to be equality for all major platforms for viewing internet content and definitely have low resource requirements for mobile devices so as not to kill the battery.
