Google slowly turning in a bigger Microsoft, but hey…. Be more than affraid
Google is nice, We all love Google, but there is not doubt that while Google is trying to distance itself from Microsoft the closer it resembles, putting its money in any possible market or segment it can.
Today, Google announced a new Turn-by-turn GPS navigation system for the Android mobile platform, something that put on shames the shares of TomTom and Garmin and casted a big shadow over their ability to response to this new threat from Google, but later in the day, Google announced its new Google Music Onebox featuring MySpace, Lala, Pandora and more and you may think that there is nothing wrong about these new announcement, but this is just a bit of Google’s Don’t Do Evil mantra, Google is all over, from Mobile Operating System to personal search, Google knows everything about our behavior.
And while I feel a bit confortable with Google, there is something that make me feel irritated, Google is a business and as a business, it should make a profit, a profit can be made from everything, even selling our online behavior to the nearer store.
Google is getting bigger than Microsoft and it is accumulating too much information about us, Microsoft just wanted our money, Google in the other hand, knows how to turn our information into fresh money.
Watch out for the next Big Brother.
